Andrew qualified from the University of Bristol in 1995. He’s a member of the Avon Local Dental Committee and a Foundation Dentist Trainer. He holds a Teaching Certificate from the University of Bristol to support his mentoring of young dental professionals. He is interested in sports dentistry and has completed the year-long Sports Dentistry course at UCL Eastman Dental Institute. Andrew is proud to be Bristol Rugby Club’s Dentist.

Tom is originally from Gower in South Wales and graduated from Bristol Dental School in 2002. As a Foundation Dentist Trainer for the South West Dental Postgraduate Deanery, Tom has been mentoring and supporting young dentists since 2011. He also holds a University of Bristol Teaching Certificate and is committed to continuing professional development. Tom enjoys providing all aspects of general family dentistry.

Lucy qualified from the University of Manchester Dental School in 2002 and has since undertaken post-graduate training in Oral Surgery. She particularly enjoys helping anxious patients and people who lack confidence in their smile.

Lucy has been trained by Dr Bob Khanna and provides various facial aesthetic treatments including dermal fillers for her patients.

Kate qualified from Bristol University in 1998 and undertook her postgraduate orthodontic training at Bristol Dental Hospital to gain her orthodontic specialist qualifications in 2008. She held an Orthodontic Consultant position at Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals from 2008-2014. Kate is now a Consultant at Bristol Dental Hospital and, as well as providing orthodontic treatment for her patients, also teaches dental undergraduates, orthodontic postgraduates and orthodontic therapists.

Dylan graduated from the University of Bristol in 2017. He currently works with us as an associate dentist after completing a NIHR-funded Academic Clinical Fellowship in Primary Care Dentistry. He has worked at Portishead Dental Practice since he qualified, with the rest of his time split between the Bristol Dental Hospital and the University of Bristol. Dylan holds a Bachelor's degree in Medical Humanities and a Master's degree in Philosophy and has a continued interest in the Philosophy of Illness, in which he has published multiple academic papers.

Dylan has completed post-graduate training in dental sleep medicine can provide advice and help in treating both snoring and mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnoea with the provision of oral appliances, such as a mandibular advancement device. Day-to-day, Dylan strives to deliver high quality general dentistry with a particular interest in Endodontics (root canal therapy) and has maintains a strong focus on preventative care.

Tasha is originally from Bristol and has worked at Portishead Dental Practice since she qualified from Cardiff University in 2022. She has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and has had further education and training in this area. Tasha also likes to work with anxious patients and to help them to feel more at ease during their dental appointments. In her spare time, Tasha enjoys drawing, painting, and cooking.

Jasmine graduated from the University of Bristol with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene. She is dedicated to her professional development and constantly strives to provide the best quality treatment.

She regularly attends courses for Dental Hygienists to keep up to date with the latest evidence and techniques.

Creating relationships with patients is a vital aspect of her role and she is always glad to provide advice and support, working with you to ensure you are taking the best care of your teeth and gums.

Cat graduated from Cardiff University with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene in 2019 after working as a Dental Nurse for over 5 years.

Cat works to provide tailored oral hygiene advice and treatment to each patient and is passionate about working with anxious patients to help them feel comfortable during appointments.

Our nursing staff aim to make your visit as comfortable as possible and give you the help and support you need during treatment. We’re committed to their continued professional training.
